Rose on Snow

30 Aug

Dew turns into frost;

Our last breath of summer

Vapor thaws the rose.

Lingering in love;

gracefully into winter,

I guess, I will go.

With that said, I sigh;

Watching the petals falling,

Never touching ground.

    A lovely sentiment and imagery. The contrast heightens it. And thank you for including your notes.

    I enjoyed these sad crystals replacing the warm rain of summer.
    Nice read.
