Summer’s Friendships

05 Oct

Part I

The wasp and the rose

The queen in hibernation

Both are soldiers gone.

Kingdoms in autumn

Torn from center of the heart

Are rebuilt in spring.

Thought the image,” torn from the center of the heart,” was perfect for the violent changes of seasons. Well penned 🙂

Seems we were thinking of the same thing as we wrote our poems for this week….awaiting spring as it all builds again…

There is a certain knowing sting to the passing of many seasons, yet winter’s hibernation allows us to contemplate that sting and hopefully accept it with grace.

    To summer we cling
    blood hangs on rose thorn
    the color of fall

many symbols to tie together and ponder…

i am not too keen about the wasps returning. anyway, what goes round comes around later.
i am sensing some deeper meaning in those words, but the spade can’t go any deeper. 🙂

Both haiku are very nice ~ yes, everything is reborn in spring. There is a deeper meaning, too. Well done 🙂

I particularly like the second haiku, ZQ. I am sure we appreciate autumn more since we know spring will rebuild what we witness being destroyed.

We really have to accept this change, the hibernation of beauty and return in spring…but it seems for heart to keep warmth we need to accumulate a new friendships…nice haiku x

Thankfully we can always depend on spring to rebuild what goes dormant now. But I wish the wasps would NOT return…
