Children scamper
Wild, yet not hurried
Like a rose blooms;
Patiently above the ground.
Their life packaged in wonder,
Discover, what never was buried
Beneath the sun or the light of the moon;
Excited each time something is found.
Nothing is forgotten in their pockets,
Understanding nothing is left behind.

Visiting this poem a second time! This is one of your best, ZQ. And those kids are so good looking.

I think I forgot a word? What I meant to say, is how much we could learn if we could follow them around.

How nice to honor your children on Father’s Day. I enjoyed the portraits. So lovely, as are your words. Hope you had a happy day yesterday (and all days).

I love the poem and love the photos even more. I like the portraiture, solemn rather than smiles. One sees who each child is in these photos. Very wonderful to have raised such a brood, ZQ!
