Notes found on the refrigerator: April 2016

24 Apr

Another Year Of Spring Renewal:

Oh blade— waking without fanfare into spring

Rejoicing in warm sunshine, you sing

               Of frozen ground— snow melting

And the cycle of life, of renewal; in growing—

Hail to the carpet of grass beneath my feet—

I hear your voices—   in green, you speak.

All those have taught me Holy things

Have been fallen angels

Trying to gain their wings—

Dear cresting wave, carry me dead

Above the waters of illusion

—And let me live in Truth.

                                   ~ Amen ~

    a wonderful set of verses!
the third strophe is a killer! sometimes it’s hard to know what is the truth and what is illusion.

Prayer in Spring rings loud and clear. Especially so with the anticipated greenery and colors to whet the appetite!

Gosh, I love each and every one of these three poetic notes. That they are on the refrigerator makes them even more profound, even romantic.

You had me from the first line….but, then, those last three lines….wow…they are KILLER! Like a powerful prayer or life mantra or something. Utterly stunning.

This is very prayerful. Living in truth is something we should all strive for.

I’d love to learn the language of green. Green and truth may be one.

So lovely to think those angels do teach us so much! And oh I was just in heaven myself with your spring poem and these words….

‘ I hear your voices— in green, you speak.’

I love to speak green too!
