Quadrille #28 Submission

13 Mar

Easter Pilgrimage

Sir/Madam do not interpret

With your own mind, words of “Divinity”,

Explaining what is held

In the temple of my Soul?

You only speak as the sinner you are.

Now then, let us pray.

Without umbrella

Scent aromatic in clouds

Spring rain wakes flowers.

I can smell incense in that scented cloud – a singularly unique form of Spring

We all speak as the sinners (or saints) we are.

True prayer… almost forgotten until trials come. Sad.

The incense of nature, prayer of nature is so up-lifting. I like to think of birdsong as praise of God. Our belief of Divinity is so personal.

I love the haiku within a Quadrille! I love the idea of praying ‘without umbrella’ and thos last two lines are spring-scented.
