The silver spoon
Spilling gibberish, drool, and cream
In this morning’s Lobster Bisque
Screamed at him for not
Eating Cheerios in 1% milk
With silverware, or even
A plastic spoon.
(None would have to be polished
Rubbed by servants
And served, to feed
Your fat reflecting face).

Love it! I can understand the spoons point of view…I wouldn’t like to be a spoon…
Kind regards

Is that the spoon the dish ran away with? I like the thought in parentheses: ‘(None would have to be polished / Rubbed by servants / And served, to feed / Your fat reflecting face)’. If that’s what the spoon thinks, what on earth could be on the minds of knives and forks!.

Reminds me of being born with a silver spoon in your mouth… not easy being spoon

I liked the first line with the spoon spilling gibberish and drool.

Wonderful! Your poem begged to be read several times before it would let go of me. Demanding things, these little verses of ours! Real joy to read!

Inanimate objects need love too; nice gentle rocking of the prompt. I longed for more silverware dialogue.
