I watched:
Fall leaves flutter and swirl —raised to dance in the arms of a Spring wind;
settling them down at the base of the trees, where they were born.
Father Winter has gone.

The promise poem of spring and summer as we in autumn do not look forward to winter. Our winters are not cold but no one wants to see the summer end.If there is an afterlife I hope it feels like summer.

Father winter and summer’s mistress… all of nature so interconnected, one cannot survive without the promise of the other!

So lovely – a miracle, every spring – to watch the green things sprouting up. I love the whole idea of Father Winter and his summer’s mistress. Smile. I am just back from the farm and am heading for the beach. Yippee!
