black coffee lover

20 Feb

an experience from the stars. blinking, shinning, glittering,

far too far from it all; sends its notice to me through heart and senses,

dusting my mind in powdered confection.

how can the infinite space of the universe capture and descend into my arms

a heart and mind so unfamiliar to mine?

from where could it fall?

i thank the morning for logic unimaginable;

quietly sharing toast with melting honey,

black coffee and smiles unspeakable.

    I’ll have mine ‘no cream, no sugar.’ That’s the way the McDonald’s folk are calling it now.
    Nice write, RG, I like the origins. Sorry I’m late, tell about more dependent on her healing.

    My favorite line is the one about thanking the morning for logic. That makes sense even thought I never thought of it that way.

    This is really interesting. I enjoyed the way in which you mingle thought and reality … near and far … the philosophical and the creature comforts. So like the choppy stream of consciousness we toe in and out of as we make our way through any-given-day.

    Pure contentment – love your words.
    “quietly sharing toast with melting honey” – brilliant.
