Courting the Moon
South star, courting the crescent moon,
Stark and stately, shines above the north wind.
Pine’s dancing branches float off the evergreens;
Shedding their fine pointed falling leaves.
The swaying trees, in the light of love,
drop their seeds, sending pine cones empty;
Rolling silently in the sliver of night,
To become spring’s witness
When full moon is bright.

‘Pine’s dancing branches float off the evergreens;’ ~ love the expression. ‘float off’ – one of the exercises for beginners piano students, when we work at their wrists…..so I see your expression very whimsically….nice nature adventure with bright moon…who knows what happens after…. 🙂 ~ Thanks for kind words at my blog, ZQ
